Excel Martial Arts, Goshen

Our two boys, aged 7 and 8, started to study Tae Kwon Do at your dojo in early September this year. I just wanted to express my amazement at how well they have developed both emotionally and physically in such a short time and to tell you what a positive impact the time spent at Excel Martial Arts has had on both our boys and our family.

Your focus on behavior at the dojo, at home and at school has reinforced the efforts we have made at home to keep two very energetic boys on track. Academically, the linking of school performance to the ability of students to advance in the Tae Kwon Do arena has kept the boys focused on the need to maintain standards to such an extent that they now automatically complete their homework independently so they have the time to train a minimum of three tunes per week.

Behavior and respect for others' space has also been noticeably improved which I believe develops as they interact with other students in the safe and encouraging environment established by the Master Ken and his instructors. Even though one of our boys has been diagnosed with ADHD, the focus and discipline that is instilled in the dojo continues at home. Our house is so much more peaceful at all times which I believe is a result of the combination of the instillation of the aforementioned moral beliefs combined with the effect that regular exercise has on both the release of tension and encouragement of good sleep.

We have never been as proud of the boys as when they both earned their yellow belts, recently. It was also very gratifying to see how much enjoyment they derived from proudly wearing their bright new belts after so much hard work. They are also now very motivated to work hard for their next belt.

Tae Kwon Do at Excel Martial Arts with Master Ken and his team has had a very positive impact on our home life and we believe the tune spent there has improved the quality of the boys' life in many respects. We would highly recommend for all children and teens and would encourage parents to at least visit the dojo to see it in action. They will not be disappointed.

Hey,
I think that me taking Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido has help out alot. The
first day after Tae Kwon Do I felt more awake in school and i was able
to concentrate and focus alot better, I actually am more dedicated to
finishing homework and schools related tasks. Taking these classes has
made me more confident in myself and I have felt better physically.
Personally I like it so much that I hate missing a day of it and the people
there add to the enjoyment there all always willing to help.
